Casio Men’s LIW500DJ-1A Edifice Sporty Solar Atomic Watch

Great Watch… so far – E. Nagler –
First off. the only reason i could not give this a 5 star review yet is the fact that i have only had it a couple of days and i cant say if it lasts or not. So far though, this watch is everything i wanted. Now lets address the issues some people have in other reviews.

-one review states that the watch has a very small user manual and hard to understand. while this is true, there is a nice large pdf on the casio website of the manual and it is very helpful. I have never had such a watch and it only took me a small amount of time to understand the watch completely
- one review states that the bracelet is so-so and makes a ton of noise. its not the best bracelet in the world and yes, it does make a little noise. But the only time i would ever have a problem with it is if i am in a silent room and my arm starts shaking uncontrollably, and at that point, i dont think its the bracelet noise i should be worried about

So far i love this watch. It looked good when i looked at the pictures and it looks even better in real life. Dials are easy to read, and the solar is great. The atomic feature is also amazing. Syncing has not been a problem, it has even synced at night even while I’m wearing it, and i live in michigan.
I have to mention though, that i didn’t but this on amazon, but actually through ebay for only a bit over 0. I doubt there could ever be a watch that has this amount of quality, looks, and functionality for this kind of price.

i am thrilled with it so far, but the real test will be to see if it can last long.

Boot Camp Fitness Kicks Butt

Filed under: Bodyblade — Tags: — biojoints @ 1:52 am

Many people, who want to get into shape, want immediate results. You can’t get something for nothing, especially fitness and weight loss; but there are fitness programs that can get results more quickly through their intense exercise programs. Boot Camp Fitness is such a program. If you’ve ever watched “The Biggest Loser” television show, you’ll understand the level of intensity that is involved in a Bot Camp program. The instructors are merciless in their mission to drive you into fitness.

In both gyms and private fitness programs, people are demanding better ways to speed up the fitness process to achieve weight loss sooner than the time taken in traditional programs. Boots Camps Fitness has become a popular answer to those demands.

You’ve seen the results for the successful contenders on “The Biggest Loser” program. People suffering from morbid obesity, hundreds of pounds overweight have achieved healthy weight with the help of these boot camp tactics. What about people like us?

If you’re in average good health, your body can handle a lot more than you think it can. You can change your legs, back, and abs using a variety of intense exercises both with and without added weights. Boot camp members thrive on these types of exercises.

Boot camp style programs include some standard military physical training mixed with squats, push-ups, lunges, crunches, and aerobics. One minute you can be running in place, the next minute you could be running cross country, and the next you could be lifting weights. Those who can withstand the intensity and length of these exercises will thrive.

Due to the rigorous demands of these Boo t Cam p programs, they are not suitable for everyone. Before even considering such a commitment, check with your family physician. Even the contestants on “The Biggest Loser” are routinely checked by a physician. Such an intense program should not be considered by anyone that is not in excellent health. If you have any joint problems or cardio-pulmonary deficiencies, other exercise programs would be far more suitable.

If you’re cleared for participation in such a program, remember that consistency and constant change are required to burn off unneeded body fat. A good b o o t c a m p program delivers the intensity and constant change. It’s entirely up to you to provide the consistency. If b oo t c a m p tactics can keep the military in shape, it can do the same for you. It works well enough that some, who can afford it, pay good money for private boot camp instructions.

Before you consider paying for a private instructor, check with your local gyms to see if they offer similar programs. In addition to the intense training, a good program will also teach you what you need to know about good nutrition. Eating a healthful diet is an important part of any exercise program, especially one as physically demanding as boot camp fitness.

Does Bowflex Work?

Filed under: Bodyblade — Tags: — biojoints @ 7:48 am

Bowflex® home gyms are seen as a great solution for home fitness. They include technology that you more often see in a professional gym, but that you can purchase for use in the privacy of your home.

Their equipment can be used at your own time, and at your own pace. You can build muscle or tone your body using a home gym like this. Bowflex systems are innovative and offer the highest quality standards and durability. If you are short of space in a small apartment, choose one of the compact systems.

Bowflex offers an all-round exercise program. As their systems include multiple weight machines in the one piece of equipment, you complete a circuit workout. Spend time exercising one part of the body, and then move to the next part of the body without moving between machines.

At a commercial gym, you spend time waiting in line to use the next machine. During this time, your heart rate may not be maintained well enough for the exercise to be successful. Your body temperature can also be reduced when you are waiting in line, and you may need to warm up again before using the next machine. With your own Bowflex system, you can move between exercising different parts of the body with ease, and at your own pace.

The company believes that you will see results when you use their systems, particularly because you can buy the home gym that’s right for you. The free DVD info kit helps you choose the right one, and also includes information around strength training. It’s also worth looking at the testimonials on their web site from customers who use their systems.

The TreadClimber® Machine is one product in the Bowflex range that combines a treadmill and a stair climber. Standard treadmill machines stay at the same level, and include one flat belt that you walk on. This machine includes Dual Motion Treadles that move up and down, allowing you to burn calories twice as fast as a standard machine. Different resistance settings from beginner to advanced help you to customize your workout to suit your body. It claims great results, and is certainly innovative.

If you combine the home gym and treadmill with Dumbbells, you have a complete home exercise system. The different variations in dumbbells mean that there’s one to suit the novice or the advanced exerciser. They switch weights fast, and use little space. They’re not cumbersome, have a comfortable grip and the feedback is that the price suits their quality.

Consider a Bowflex home exercise system, and use weight training to maintain your health. Using this type of system at home certainly has its advantages – you can exercise in private, use the equipment whenever you have time, and there are no gym queues.

The 4-Day Way to Weight Loss

Filed under: Bodyblade — Tags: — biojoints @ 6:31 am

What exactly is the 4-Day Diet? Can you, as the title implies, go from overweight to slim and trim in four days? It would be nice, but not a chance. Dr. Ian Smith, who developed the 4-day Diet, had a slightly more demanding process in mind.

Nutritionists and dietitians are quite familiar with the work of Dr. Smith and his 50 Million Pound Challenge. Dr. Smith challenged Americans to fight the burgeoning obesity epidemic and lose weight. His efforts have been very effective in encouraging many Americans to change their eating habits and lifestyle.

The 4 Day Diet is comprised of seven modules, each one lasting for four days. It is designed to reprogram your body and mind to exercise better eating habits. One of the diet’s most noticeable characteristics, changing food choices, is intended to eliminate the boredom that is experienced on diets that emphasize eating the same limited types of foods.

Module 1: This is the most restrictive module; similar in some ways to the South Beach diet. This module is structured to use only foods that will help to detoxify your body; to rid it of any accumulated toxins enabling you to continue dieting with a clean slate, so to speak. The foods permitted in the diet are described in the diet book.

Module 2: Changes to the foods eaten are introduced in this module. Grains, vegetables, and other new foods are added. The enforced food changes are a clear indication that you’re on a diet, but not for purposes of food deprivation. The changes are introduced to teach you to eat healthier.

Module 3: Protein is introduced in this module for its importance in building muscle fiber. The most important of these foods are lean meats, dairy products, especially eggs and milk, and fish, which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Module 4: This module requires excellent self-control from the dieter, because this module allows you to eat whatever you wish. This would not be a good time to dive into pizzas, fries, burgers, and high calorie soft drinks. Be moderate. Enjoy, but remember you are on a diet.

Module 5: This module ends the eating anarchy permitted in Module 4. It returns to an eating regimen in accordance with strict 4-Day Diet food rules.

Modules 6 & 7: These modules are similar. They continue the Module 5 regimen with additional restrictions.

The 4 Day Diet plan takes about one month to complete the seven modules. The regimen put forth in this diet can be repeated over and over again until you lose as much weight as wish. You will not be bored with the allowed meals. If you’re not used to cooking for yourself, prepare to learn. You’ll cook plenty with this diet in order to meet your dietary requirements.

The Wii Fit – Workout, Family Fun, Or Both?

There are numerous fitness programs, machines, and exercise aids on market. Some are quite helpful, some are of dubious benefit, some are scams, and some are just plain silly. It must be a marketing rule that no one ever goes broke selling fitness schemes. It’s not clear yet into which category the Wii Fit falls.

Those who currently own a Wii console claim that is the greatest invention since writing. It creates a virtual world for the entire family. With our body motions we can control characters on the television screen. Entire families can now go bowling, drive race cars, play a guitar, and enjoy many other activities using the Wii controllers and certain body movements, without ever leaving home.

The latest entry into the virtual world of Wii is the Wii fitness program. Yes, a fitness program. The Wii designers figured that the Wii console had everyone up and moving already, so they introduced an attachment for the Wii called Wii Fit. The Wii Fit, which looks like a flat board, enables Wii users to perform a number of exercises and get themselves into shape.

As with any exercise machine or device, there is an up front cost. The Wii Fit board costs about $90. If you don’t have $90, it is too expensive. If you do, then it’s affordable. It appears, so far, that many people have found it to be an affordable device for maintaining family fitness. There is one caution, however. If you weight more than 330 pounds, the Wii Fit board cannot hold you. If you’re under that generous limit, however, feel free to go at it.

The Wii Fit does offer a number of useful exercises to help keep you in shape. One of the more interesting exercise challenges is the Wii Fit Ski Jump. You’ve no doubt seen Olympic skiers flying off the end of a ski jump, and perhaps been glad that it wasn’t you plummeting toward oblivion, but now, thanks to Wii, you can try it at home. You can realize the fitness benefits without incurring the dangers. The Wii Fit board senses your movements as you squat careening down the virtual slope, and senses you’re jumping as you leave the virtual ski jump; showing it all on the television screen.

With all tongue and cheek humor set aside, the Wii Fit board actually does help one to improve balance, strengthen abs, and work other important muscle groups. It is not, however, a total workout program. It’s a fun way to get some beneficial exercise, and is far superior in regards to general health, than the typical computer game that provides no fitness benefits at all.
